About

The Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Film Office represents creative industries in the region, working in conjunction with Creative BC and other production companies in British Columbia to promote the growth of the film industry in the province. We support and attract motion pictures, television, commercials, corporate videos, music videos, and documentaries to the region.

Serving to connect the film industry with local and regional businesses, property owners, communities, parks and protected areas, and crew to represent a variety of suitable locations across the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast. Collaborating with location scouts, producers, and industry representatives to ensure that production requirements for locations, required proximity to municipalities and services and access to crew supports creative projects and film productions.

Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Film Office:

• Provides location services
• Maintains an online location library & database, accessible to production companies worldwide via ReelScout
• Provides resources and information to companies who wish to film in the region
• Shares links to local community sites, regional BC Parks contacts, relevant network of key organizations and contacts as per the unique
  requirements of each production
• Acts as a liaison between local businesses, communities, various entities, and governments

Represents the interests of our communities by:

• Keeping the public informed, and film-friendly by developing and maintaining regular and effective local relationships
• Trouble-shooting and providing solutions to concerns with local officials
• Collaborating with individual businesses to aid in guiding regional operators and partners through a variety of processes with the creative industries.
